This is Iker Spozio’s official site, welcome.

I’m a painter, engraver and illustrator. All my artwork is handmade using traditional techniques: egg tempera, oil, watercolor, monotype, linocut, collage etc.

My work has been exhibited in various galleries and museums worldwide.

I started working mostly in the indipendent/alternative music field, creating record sleeves, posters and flyers.
Between the late 90s and early 2000s I did the whole artwork and design for English psychedelic music magazine The Ptolemaic Terrascope.
I've worked for record labels such as Deutsche Grammophon, Fat Cat, The Leaf Label, Second Language, Ba-Da-Bing, Track & Field, Own Records and Pehr, for clubs and venues such as Le Café de la Danse in Paris and Ondarra 16 bis in San Sebastián.
Artists I've collaborated with include Colleen, Hauschka, Hilary Hahn, Mark Fry, Electroscope, Dirty Projectors, A Hawk & A Hacksaw, Tex La Homa, Damon & Naomi and Adrian Crowley.
I also did the posters for the Dwars Festival, held in Amsterdam by Dutch radio VPRO.

My illustrations have appeared in several magazines and newspapers worldwide, including Le Monde, Il Corriere della sera, The Economist, The NY Observer, Biba, Dada, Senso, Arthur Magazine, El País, Vanidad and Paga Extra.

In the early 2010s I ran Morning, a limited-edition illustrated magazine devoted to cult sixties, seventies and eighties music.

Most of the originals of the artwork shown on this site are available for sale.
